The White Plains Personal Injury/ Criminal Law/ Immigration firm.

The White Plains, New York Law Office of Mark A. Siesel provides residents of Westchester County, the entire Hudson Valley and the five boroughs of New York City with 22 years of experienced, knowledgeable, and aggressive representation in the three main areas of our practice: Personal injury law; Criminal Law, with a particular emphasis on defending clients charged with DWI; and Immigration clients seeking to become citizens, legal residents of the United States, or seeking to avoid removal or deportation.

In our Personal Injury Department, we pride ourselves on aggressively and relentlessly representing those who have been injured or lost their lives through the negligence of others in construction accidents, slip/trip and fall accidents, motor vehicle accidents, truck accidents, as the result of the use of dangerous or defective products, in elevator or escalator accidents, or medical malpractice, to name a representative sample of our cases. Our clients always receive personal attention to their cases by an attorney who is assigned to the case, and all calls, e-mails or other communications to our office are always returned no later than the end of the business day or earlier if the attorney is not engaged in trial. We recognize that the number one concern of clients is that their case is being handled with skill, diligence, and full attention, and we embrace our obligation to keep our clients fully informed of the status of their case at all times. We understand that coping with a personal injury or the death of a loved one can be a difficult, life-changing experience. We pledge that no question will ever go unanswered. Our firm handles each case aggressively, thoughtfully, and with honor and integrity. Many of our clients come to us as referrals from other law firms or solo practitioners who recognize and respect the results we achieve for our clients.

We know how insurance companies operate, and make it clear to these companies from the moment we are retained that if the insurance company's offer of settlement is unacceptable, they can expect that our firm will litigate the case through trial with no hesitation to get just compensation for our clients for their injuries, lost earnings, and loss of their ability to enjoy life as they did previously.

In our Criminal Law Department, our objectives are the sameto get the best possible result for our clients who are charged, for example, with DWI, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs, Assaults, or traffic violations, for example. We closely examine the District's Attorney's evidence, whether it be Breathalyzer tests, Field Sobriety Exams, or blood, urine or other chemical tests, and make absolutely sure that proper police procedure was followed at all times throughout the process. Our office recognizes that in many DWI cases, plea bargains are often justified to ensure a reduced violation from a misdemeanor to a violation, to preserve driving privileges, to reduce fines and other criminal penalties, and to avoid excessive increases in insurance rates. However, in certain cases, if the evidence is not strong, we let the District Attorney's Office know in no uncertain terms that we are prepared to proceed to trial if our clients are not offered the best possible resolution available. Additionally, we frequently defend our clients at administrative hearings conducted by the Department of Motor Vehicles when they are charged with refusing a chemical or breathalyzer test.

Our Immigration Division is devoted to assuring that our eligible clients obtain their U.S. Citizenship and lawful permanent residency (green cards) as quickly and efficiently as possible. Immediately upon meeting with our clients, we obtain all necessary supporting documentation, prepare the necessary Department of Homeland Security forms, and submit the package to the government as quickly as possible to ensure that the case will be processed immediately. We appear with our clients at all naturalization and marriage interviews, and due to our wealth of experience in this field, we are able to provide our clients with a substantial advantage in knowing many of the likely questions they will be asked, how best to answer these questions, and how to deal with the District Adjudication Officers who conduct these interviews.

For our clients who are facing deportation and removal from the United States, we quickly file the necessary papers with the United States Immigration Courts, as well as writs of Habeas Corpus in the Federal Courts, particularly for clients who are already in custody by the time they hire our firm. We make absolutely sure that our clients are fully aware of the situation they are facing, and only accept cases in which we believe that there is a reasonable basis for opposing the government's position so that unnecessary resources and clients' funds are not wasted on a case in which there is no legal basis to prevail. Our clients are always treated with dignity and respect, and no question will ever go unanswered.
