The Town Of Mount Pleasant
The Town of Mount Pleasant is about 33 square miles. The town consists of the Villages of Pleasantville, Sleepy Hollow and Briarcliff Manor, as well as the hamlets of Hawthorne, Thornwood, Valhalla and Pocantico Hills.
The Village of Sleepy Hollow is a section of the town renamed in the mid 1990’s to honor American author Washington Irving, who wrote the classic Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Directions To Our Office
To get to our office from the town hall in Mount Pleasant, start from Columbus Avenue toward Town Hall Plaza, and then make a right onto Lakeview Avenue. Turn left onto the Taconic State Parkway southbound. Shortly thereafter, the parkway name changes to the Bronx River Parkway. You will turn right onto Chatterton Avenue and then immediately turn left onto SR–119 East / Tarrytown Road. After passing under the White Plains train station bridge, and after the Galleria Mall on your right, you will turn right onto SR–125/Mamaroneck Avenue. After three blocks, 200 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, N.Y. will be on the right. There is limited parking available at meters in front of the building; however, parking is more easily accessible in the six story parking garage directly behind our building at the corner of Maple Avenue and Mamaroneck Avenue, known as the Chester–Maple Garage. To get to the garage, continue to Maple Avenue, make a right onto Maple Avenue, and the entrance to the parking garage is immediately on your right.
