Many of our Town of Greenburgh clients at the Law Office of Mark A. Siesel are charged with speeding due to the numerous roadways that intersect and go through the Town. If you receive and are convicted of two speeding tickets in an eighteen month period for travelling 21-30 miles an hour over the posted speed limit, this can quickly result in a suspension of your driver’s license, as you would then have 12 points on your license. 11 points assessed against the operator’s license in an eighteen month period results in a suspension of the driver’s license. Further, if you receive 6 points on your license in 18 months, this results in a “Driver’s Responsibility Assessment”, which is a fine imposed by the Department of Motor Vehicles. The fine is $300.00, which can be paid in three yearly installments of $100.00 or all at once. Driver’s Responsibility Assessments are also issued in all driving while intoxicated cases in the amount of $750.00, which can be paid in three yearly installments of $250.00 or in one payment.

We have successfully represented clients in the Greenburgh Town Court in a variety of criminal cases and traffic infractions. In DWI cases, we have obtained several favorable resolutions of cases and hardship privileges, conditional licenses, and conditional discharges in numerous cases. Parking For the Greenburgh Town Court

Parking is very difficult for the Greenburgh Town Court. There is a small parking lot on the westbound side of Tarrytown Road which has a capacity of approximately 20 spaces. Usually, people park along the roadway on the westbound side of Tarrytown Road from the beginning of the parking lot, and the police, knowing of the chronic parking shortage, will not issue parking tickets unless you are parking near a fire hydrant or there is some other parking violation. There are also some parking spaces with meters on both sides of Tarrytown Road on the next block (past Hillside Avenue). But that is a long walk to the Courthouse. The best advice for parking at the Greenburgh Town Court is to get there very early.
